The following steps will turn of phishing and malware warnings, as well as download warnings.
- In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu.
- Select Settings.
- Click Show advanced settings.
- Under 'Privacy,' uncheck the box 'Protect you and your device from dangerous sites'

An additional option is available. If you've downloaded a file and Chrome has blocked it, and you'd like to keep the file without disabling malware and phishing protection altogether, you can keep the file like so:
- Download the file and let Chrome 'block' it. If you are directed to a 'site ahead contains harmful programs' page, click 'details' then 'visit the site'.
- After chrome displays the warning message in the download bar, click 'show all downloads', or choose 'downloads' from the menu, or press 'ctrl+j' (on Windows at least).
- The file will be in the download list. Click 'recover malicious file'. Then it will get that file.
This way you can keep your security settings but still make a decision about an individual file, which is generally the safer way to go instead of disabling the protection completely just for one or two files.

Hello. Earlier today, I opened up Google Chrome and was given one of those Windows Firewall prompts that says 'Google Chrome' is attempting to ..... I accidentally hit always block, instead of always accept and now I can't use Chrome. I get this message:

It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventingGoogle Chromefrom accessing the network.
Chrome Has Blocked Download Disable Firefox
I have tried the following and none of them have worked.
Chrome Blocked Download Override
1) I added Google Chrome to the list of accepted programs in Windows Firewall.
2) I restored the default settings in the Firewall.
Google Chrome Blocked By Microsoft
3) I did a system restore to yesterday.
4) I ran my virus software.
5) I cleaned my dns cache.
6) I unchecked the 'Use DNS pre-fetching to improve page load performance' in Chrome.
Nothing has worked. I know this has something to do with the fact that I told the Firewall to block whatever Chrome was attempting to do, but I can't seem to unblock it!
